The statistics are frightening...
Did you know, that in the United States today…

  • 3.8 million people weigh more than 300 pounds
  • Over 400,000 people – mostly males – carry more than 400 pounds
  • The average adult female weighs an unprecedented 163 pounds
The National Center for Health statistics has been tracking America’s obesity problem for more than four decades and has found the following statistics, further evidence that the obesity problem is a growing concern…

  • Between 1962 and the year 2000, the number of obese Americans grew from 13% to an alarming 31% of the population.
  • 63% of Americans are overweight with a Body Mass Index (BMI) in excess of 25.0; 31% are obese with a BMI in excess of 30.0.
  • Childhood obesity in the United States has more than tripled in the past two decades. (bold this somehow)
  • According to the U.S. Surgeon General’s Report, obesity is responsible for 300,000 deaths every year.

Kidz for Life is dedicated to a solution.

About 15.5 percent of adolescents (ages 12 to 19) and 15.3 percent of children (ages 6 to 11) are obese. The increase in obesity among American youth over the past two decades is dramatic. Early obesity is a serious problem and can lead to numerous health issues in adulthood, including cardiovascular disease, hypertension, high cholesterol and diabetes. To help combat this grave epidemic facing our children, Kidz for Life offers nutrition training programs for individuals, families, groups and schools.

Through affordable, one-on-one, group training and education programs, Kidz for Life empowers today’s youth to be healthier, happier and more successful in all areas of their life through a complete understanding of themselves. Our programs raise participants’ self esteem by focusing on the following subjects:

• Defensive eating habits
• General health
• Nutrition
• Menu planning
• Grocery shopping
